To assist in your adventure at Southern Gull, your reservation includes $250 worth of adventure gear rental. Whether your adventure is sitting under an umbrella on the white-sandy beaches, biking, or fishing from a kayak in the Bay, this $250 credit towards your vacation gear rental will ensure you have the adventure you seek. You will be able to shop for bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas, or even beach carts. No need to find the rental company, your gear will be delivered to your beach house and will be waiting for your arrival.

Truly Special!

I have had the pleasure of staying in many beachfront properties and this was my favorite! The views from this house are stunning! Catching a deck sunrise was truly special. The beach was easily accessible strolling across the bike path. The area where this property is located felt like a nature preserve.  It is filled with trees bushes and flowers. The bike trails were fun and we got to see plenty of coastal birds.  The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. All of our needs were anticipated and we wanted for nothing. My family and I will definitely be returning in the near future!

Perfect home and location!

Our family spent a week at SG and it was absolutely perfect. We shared the home with another family and everyone had plenty of space and privacy. The short and safe walk along the path to the beach was great for small children and the proximity to the clubhouse/pool was so convenient. The area was so peaceful and we loved all the natural trees on the property and throughout the community. The home had everything we needed for the perfect vacation and it was a short drive to restaurants and the grocery. We cannot wait to return!

Perfect Getaway & Hideaway!

Our week at the Southern Gull was nothing short of amazing — and it was a true, relaxing vacation! Whether you want to spend your days on the beach, riding bikes around the island, or making excursions to nearby towns, this is the perfect spot to do it all. We brought our dog and he had an absolute blast— he had the best view of everything from the house’s front porch. The house is steps from the beach, has an incredible view, and still feels one with nature. The accommodations were beyond luxurious yet inviting, with no detail overlooked. Traci was a wonderful host and gave us all the pointers on where to eat, what to see, and what to do— we felt like locals! We will be coming back to SGI and staying at Southern Gull any chance we get.

Just Awesome!

We stayed at the Southern Gull for a week and wish we could have stayed longer. The house is incredible! Newly decorated with a perfect mix of great style, \"beach style\" and comfort in every room. Bathrooms and kitchen are brand new as well which is a huge bonus. The location is incredible-a 30 second walk to the dog friendly beach. (Another huge bonus since a lot of beaches are not dog friendly.) Sitting on the deck watching the waves roll in was so relaxing! The home is in The Plantation which is a gated community with miles of paved bike/walking trails, and 2 large pools. SGI town center is only 5 minutes away. Fun shops and some great restaurants. The Blue Parrot is right on the beach and has great food and drinks. Eastpoint is another 10 minutes or so away and then 15 min on to Apalachicola. Apalach has great shopping-not just tourist stuff-and great restaurants. Allow some time for lunch at the Hole in the Wall, but be patient and be sure to leave any city attitude at home! 🙂 Incredible oysters! Traci, our host, was so friendly and accomodating. She gave us tons of suggestions on what to do and where to go. We are planning our trip for next year and are definitely going to stay here again!

The Perfect Beach Experience for a Family

This house is the absolute perfect get away for a relaxing, fun trip for a family, or in our case for two families! My husband and I and our two little girls met my cousin, his wife and their two small children here for a week. Because of the home\'s layout, we all had enough privacy to feel comfortable and there is enough common area to enjoy each other. Also, don\'t let the fact that it isn\'t right On the beach deter you. Unlike Destin and others, it is so close to the beach that if you forget something at the house it\'s a quick walk back to get it and it\'s crossing a safe bike path, not a busy road. It really is the perfect beach house! The fact that it\'s in a gated neighborhood makes it feel like you have your own private beach, where the kids can explore and collect shells and build sandcastles while you relax. The kitchen and the baths are absolutely luxurious and stocked perfectly with anything you could possibly need. The bunk room is precious! The beds are all so comfortable. I cannot possibly recommend this house and this little island enough to convey its beauty and charm.
