Above the Dunes is a beautiful beachfront Gulf Beaches home located in the heart of St. George Island! The home has been updated and is vibrant and fun. The interior furnishings have a modern flair and are comfortable, warm and welcoming. Multiple levels of decks make sea and stargazing a pleasure, and the open floor plan offers beach views from nearly every room.

Your group of up to 8 will find this home perfect for your beachfront vacation. Two king suites, one a beachfront master, provide room for the adults. On the top floor, younger folks will enjoy the loft life, with two twin beds and a twin over twin bunk.

To assist in your adventure at Above the Dune, your reservation includes $250 worth of adventure gear rental. Whether your adventure is sitting under an umbrella on the white-sandy beaches, biking, or fishing from a kayak in the Bay, this $250 credit towards your vacation gear rental will ensure you have the adventure you seek. You will be able to shop for bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas, or even beach carts. No need to find the rental company, your gear will be delivered to your beach house and will be waiting for your arrival.

The views of the white sand beach and Gulf of Mexico are amazing and both of which are just a minutes walk down the shared boardwalk to the South. Enjoy your morning coffee on one of the 2 generous beach side decks. The lower level patio is perfect for grilling your fresh caught fish and taking in the beautiful SGI Sunsets! This is a must see!

The second time around

This is the second time that we have stayed at Above the Dune, and—notwithstanding Tropical Storm Fred’s decision to crash the party—we had a wonderful time. The house was well-maintained and spotless, and the beach was as beautiful as ever. The management staff kindly called us during Fred to make sure all was well. All-in-all a terrific vacation, and we will come again.

The Perfect Getaway

Above the Dunes is truly fantastic. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week— I would recommend this home to anyone. It was so lovely to be able to wake up every morning to a view of the ocean both in the master bedroom and in the main living room. Each morning we’d have breakfast on the patio, where we enjoyed watching dolphins and seabirds! Then, we’d head straight down the wooden boardwalk to the beach for a morning walk. Simply perfect. We also slept really well and enjoyed Above the Dunes’ well stocked kitchen where we cooked fresh seafood! Plus, everything is so close, making this place extra convenient. Will definitely be coming back!

Excellent place!

Above the Dunes was amazing for a week away! Stayed here for a week in January to get away for a while and relax. Worked remotely and enjoyed the sea-breeze at the same time. So close to takeout and dining options, so close to the grocery store and seafood truck. Easy to walk places and a great view up and down the beach. Very comfortable and generously laid out. Would recommend to anyone!

A home away from home on St. George Island

A beautiful, scenic getaway. We loved being here in January 2021. Steps from the beach, down a picturesque wooden walkway, you can walk in either direction for miles. Each day, as you come up to make your morning coffee, you are greeted by a full view of the grand ocean! We caught sunsets on our walks and sunrises from the multi-level porch. It is within steps of the grocery store, small restaurants, and delicious doughnuts. The outdoor shower made it easy to rinse off when coming in from the ocean. Very comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, books and puzzles in different cubbies around the house, all allow for the whole family to find whatever activities they want to do together or individually. Thoughtful touches like that make this beautiful place really feel like a home away from home. We will definitely be back to enjoy Above the Dunes in the future!
